Being published by Vogue - Glasgow family photographer
I am absolutely delighted to have had two portraits selected by the editorial team of PhotoVogue this week.
Earlier in the summer they gave a landscape picture I had their stamp of approval and I was on cloud nine. I feel that portraits are such a huge part of my photography and so I was hoping that my next Vogue image would be a portrait. What first drew me to photography was people. I think there is so much to learn about ourselves from the people around us, be they friends and family we see day to day, or the people who come into our lives for a short time, and this is why I love natural and relaxed family lifestyle photography.
When I photograph families I am always looking for the connections to capture. I want to help people relax and have fun in their sessions and when they do the results are great. You see genuine smiles and the love shines through. Even teenagers get involved and you catch authentic happiness.
In newborn sessions I want to capture one thing - the way a parent looks at their child. As they look down at their little miracle, it is the greatest love you will see and I would happily photograph this love every day. So to have not one, but two images published by Vogue Italia, was a huge validation of my work and I am buzzing.
If you would like to book your newborn or family session, I would love to capture some special moments for you, filled with love that will last a lifetime.
